Unit Elections
Unit Elections run from Jan. 1st to March 31. Each unit who chooses to hold an election must have an lodge run election team present to run the election. You must contact your districts vice chief to plan an unit election. Please review the contact page for further info.
We ask that unit elections be scheduled with the vice chiefs no later than December 31, '07
The process for youth to be elected into the Order of the Arrow has begun and all election forms must run by a lodge election team and be turned into the OA office no later than March 31, 2008. All unit leaders must understand that the election forms MUST be signed by your district's Order of the Arrow election team or they will be returned to the unit which may delay the process and your election may be considered invalid.
The candidate requirements are clearly identified in the election packet which can be downloaded from this website (see links below). The election process is clearly identified as well. It is strongly recommended that an election team from your district administer the election process.
Adult election is different than the youth. Where youth are elected by their peers an adult must be nominated by their unit committee and then the nomination form is reviewed by a lodge committee to make sure that all requirements are met. An adult nomination is not an automatic election into the OA.
